Recently, a member of a Moms of Multiples community I am a part of lost one her 5 month old boys. He had had a congenital heart condition since birth, and lost his battle a few weeks ago. I cannot even begin to imagine what she, as a mom, is going through. Baby Wyatt spent his entire life in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. It has to be so hard to have one well baby, and one sick, then to deal with his passing...it would just be unbearable. My heart just aches for Wyatt's mom and family.
As part of a larger effort from my Mom's of Multiples group, another member is donating 20% of all sales from her Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/JAGDESIGNS27 which specializes in THE most ADORABLE flower headbands for babies, toddlers and girls. You don't need a special code, just shop and know that a portion of your total will go directly to baby Wyatt's family.
I have purchased many headbands from her shop, and absolutely love them. She is running this special for one more week, so please visit her shop and know that you will be helping baby Wyatt and his family.
Here are some pics of the K's wearing her headbands! They are adorable, and incredibly well made.

Mayday, mayday..we've been hit!!!
Whew. What a rough week! It started off wonderfully on Saturday when we woke up to Kylie covered in poop in her crib. We got her bathed and changed and I took her downstairs to Kevin to give her a bottle. Well, she only drank about 4 ounces and threw her bottle. We were confused, this is SO unlike Kylie. So, I picked her up and was holding her when she decides to get rid of those 4 ounces over my shoulder. Ugh. I don’t do vomit well at all!
I took her to the doctor that morning, and it turns out she has an ear infection, so we got her going on some antibiotics. She seemed to perk up by the end of the day, but still wasn’t eating a huge amount. This continued through Sunday. Then, Sunday, Kevin got to join Kylie in the vomiting department. Again, I don’t do vomit, so I slept (or tried to sleep) on the couch. I went to work on Monday, when day care called at the end of the day to say Kylie was running a fever of 100.4. Since she was on antibiotics for three days, it was kind of unusual that she would be running a fever, so I took her back into the doc on Tuesday for an antibiotic shot. It seemed to help.
Wednesday, I took the girls to day care and found out there was some kind of stomach bug going through the place. As a matter of fact, two of their teachers had gone home on Wednesday with the same thing. I was PRAYING that Kendall would stay well…
Thursday, we woke the girls up, and found that Kendall had a fever. Ugh. Back to the doctor we went, and found out SHE also had an ear infection. We got her the shot, and stayed low key playing at home for the rest of the day. Today, it seems like everyone is doing much better. Kevin is his normal self, my three day belly ache has gone away, Kendall is not running a fever, and Kylie seems to be acting a little more like herself. I’m praying this bout of sickness is over!
This is the part of parenthood I was definitely not looking forward to. These poor kids pick up so many germs, bring them home, and then we all get sick. I feel so bad when they are so little and so helpless. There seems to be nothing you can do to make it better. Just lots of cuddles!
On a positive note, Kevin and I are getting a babysitter tonight and going out for dinner. We’re really looking forward to it since we haven’t been out to eat (just the two of us) since October! After this week, it is definitely a welcome treat!

Big Week in the K Household!
First of all, the girls are now almost 8 1/2 months old! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? We are already starting to talk about their first birthday party. Time has absolutely flown! The past week has been pretty busy. First of all, I (of course) took some 8 month pictures. They haven't turned out as well as some of their past pictures, but I did get some cute ones :)
A few nights ago, we were hanging out with the girls, and we were letting them stand while grabbing on to a storage bin lid. Then this happened...
Yay!

Pretty Kendall
So sweet
Miss Kylie. She kept crawling up on my lap.

"One Born Every Minute" update...
Unfortunately, this isn't good news. I "believe" that we won't end up on One Born after all. We were slated to be on the 9th episode, and Lifetime abruptly stopped the season after episode 6. I've been monitoring what's going on through Facebook for the past couple weeks, and Lifetime had responded to some people saying that the season has ended. Now, it was posted on their website that they were going to air 10 episodes this season, and no one is saying that it is cancelled, but at this point, I would be really surprised if we ended up being on.
Are we disappointed? Yes. After all, we have been told since May that we were all but guaranteed to be on. We talked to producers before I gave birth, right after I gave birth, in July, and in November, and they all said that it was a done deal. Is it the end of the world? No! We had a wonderful experience, met some really great people, and are still going to get a professionally produced DVD of our birth experience. Even if it were going to turn out the same way, I would still do it all over again. The day I gave birth to Kendall and Kylie was hands down the best day of my life, and I can't wait to see it again, even if it isn't on national television.
I saw one person post on Lifetime's facebook page that they were really upset because they were filmed, and were supposed to be on this season. Now that the show has ended they have nothing to show for it. I may be more of a "glass half-full" type person, but I have a lot to show for it. I have two beautiful babies!
Anyway, that's all we know. We are working off the assumption that we aren't going to be on, but if anything changes, I will be sure to post an update!

Kendall's New Trick
I am so behind in updating about the girls, but I thought I would just post this video. Kendall has recently just learned how to imitate coughing noises. It cracks me up. Especially because she has such a raspy little voice. (You can also hear Kylie squealing in the background) :) Enjoy!

7 months!
I can't believe I have two 7 month olds! I've had a bunch of people tell me that this is when they start becoming really fun, and they definitely are! They are much more interactive, love playing with their toys (and the dogs), and really seem to enjoy each other!
Updates on the duo!
Ahh. Sibling rivalry already. Buckle your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
Of course, Kev and I also did a 7 month photo shoot (with Daddy behind the camera this time!) Here are some favorites below! Enjoy the cuteness!!
Updates on the duo!
Kendall
- Is starting to move...backwards! Hey, at least it's something right?
- Is still wearing 6-9 or 6-12 mo clothing and size 3 diapers. I have a feeling it will be 12 month soon. I cannot keep up with how fast these girls are growing!
- Is eating three solid meals a day, and takes 5 bottles (4 - 6oz and one 7oz) a day. She usually finishes all except the last bottle before bed (which she probably finishes 2 or 3 days a week).
- Loves sitting up and playing with her toys. She is definitely going to be our toy-happy girl!
- Still likes to fight me about naps. She probably naps an average of 1.5 hours a day.
- Sleeps through the night like a champ! Cannot beat 10-12 straight hours of sleep.
Kylie
- Is starting to crawl. She can scoot on her belly, and is starting to get the hang of getting her knees under her. It's exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Project for next week: baby-proof the heck out of our house!
- Is still wearing 6-9 or 6-12 mo clothing and size 3 diapers. I have a feeling it will be 12 month sooner than Kendall!
- Is eating three solid meals a day, and takes 5 bottles (4 - 6oz and one 7oz) a day. She usually finishes all, but is starting to leave a little in her last bottle of the day as well.
- Loves moving. She will sit, but is not content to do it for long. She just wants to GO!
- She's still our better napper, but definitely has her days where she wants to fight it along with Kendall. Makes for a fun day! (insert sarcasm...) :)
- Sleeps through the night like a champ! Cannot beat 10-12 straight hours of sleep.
Here's Kendall biting on the teething ring
Well, look who has it now! (I love the look on Kendall's face here!)
Kylie says "Kendall looks like she wants to play with this..."
"...sorry about your luck, sis! It's mine now!"

Yay! We're 7 months old!
Kendall giving Kylie a pat on the back
Aww
Kevin thought Kendall looked like she was channeling Olivia Newton-John with the "Let's Get Physical" sweatband!
Whatcha doin' Ky??
Lemme give you a kiss!
Love this! Holding hands and looking at each other...can't beat it!
My favorite! I love that Kylie looks like she's telling Kendall something, and Kendall's smiling at her!
" 'cmon! Let's go!"
"Ok, let's get out of here!"
"You still comin'??"
"What are you looking at?!?"
Hee!
Kendall :)
Love that face!
Pretty girls!
We couldn't leave you without the outtakes!
Uh oh....
Yep, it's fussy Kendall!
What the...???
Up close and personal with Miss Kylie :)
Kylie contemplating something! :)
I'm tired! Enough pictures for today!
