Big Week in the K Household!

First of all, the girls are now almost 8 1/2 months old!  I can't believe it. Where has the time gone?  We are already starting to talk about their first birthday party.  Time has absolutely flown!  The past week has been pretty busy.  First of all, I (of course) took some 8 month pictures.  They haven't turned out as well as some of their past pictures, but I did get some cute ones :)

Yay!

Pretty Kendall

So sweet

Miss Kylie.  She kept crawling up on my lap.

Sisters :)

After we took these pictures, we headed out to Kidzapalooza where Kevin was the emcee for the day.  We had a great time there, and the girls really seemed to be entertained by the juggler and all the other activities going on.

As you can see, Kylie was really interested in the microphone. It was adorable! She got to make announcements with Daddy!

A few nights ago, we were hanging out with the girls, and we were letting them stand while grabbing on to a storage bin lid.  Then this happened...
Look!  No hands! (Kylie standing on her own!)

That led to the next thing.  On Saturday, we were just hanging out, waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive and we got a huge surprise!

AHH!  She pulled herself up and is standing on her own!

Visiting Kendall in the bouncer

Kendall had some big news too!  She's finally crawling!  Yay!  I think Kylie's moving everywhere has made Kendall more anxious to figure it out.  It's so adorable, and so much crazier now having to chase two babies around!  Also, Kendall had another bottom tooth pop up in the last day or so.  She now has "almost" 5 teeth (the top two have cut through), and Kylie has 4.

There they go!

Lastly, we finally took our first successful "big girl" bath tonight.  No tears this time! :)

 Mommy helped!

Splashy Kendall!

I can't wait to see what these two crazy babies do next!  Stay tuned :)

"One Born Every Minute" update...

Unfortunately, this isn't good news.  I "believe" that we won't end up on One Born after all.  We were slated to be on the 9th episode, and Lifetime abruptly stopped the season after episode 6.  I've been monitoring what's going on through Facebook for the past couple weeks, and Lifetime had responded to some people saying that the season has ended.  Now, it was posted on their website that they were going to air 10 episodes this season, and no one is saying that it is cancelled, but at this point, I would be really surprised if we ended up being on.

Are we disappointed?  Yes.  After all, we have been told since May that we were all but guaranteed to be on.  We talked to producers before I gave birth, right after I gave birth, in July, and in November, and they all said that it was a done deal.  Is it the end of the world?  No!  We had a wonderful experience, met some really great people, and are still going to get a professionally produced DVD of our birth experience.  Even if it were going to turn out the same way, I would still do it all over again.  The day I gave birth to Kendall and Kylie was hands down the best day of my life, and I can't wait to see it again, even if it isn't on national television.

I saw one person post on Lifetime's facebook page that they were really upset because they were filmed, and were supposed to be on this season.  Now that the show has ended they have nothing to show for it.  I may be more of a "glass half-full" type person, but I have a lot to show for it.  I have two beautiful babies!

My newborn girls!

Hee hee!  Stealing this pic from Lifetime's website ;-)
Anyway, that's all we know.  We are working off the assumption that we aren't going to be on, but if anything changes, I will be sure to post an update!

Kendall's New Trick

I am so behind in updating about the girls, but I thought I would just post this video.  Kendall has recently just learned how to imitate coughing noises.  It cracks me up.  Especially because she has such a raspy little voice. (You can also hear Kylie squealing in the background) :)  Enjoy!
