The show '24' is one of my absolute favorites of all time. Kevin and I got hooked on it during season 3, (it's now on season 8), and are disappointed this will be the final season. (After last night there are only 6 episodes left). :( The first half of this season moved a little slow, but has gotten REALLY good the past couple weeks. I think they are pulling out all the stops for the final episodes. There is also rumor of a feature film being made, which I can't wait for! We will most definitely be seeing that in the theatre.
Kevin always gets mad when one of our favorite characters dies, and ends up throwing remotes across the room. So, in honor of Renee Walker, who died in last night's episode...this is for you, Kevin!

THIS IS BEYOND BELIEF!
Why do they always have to kill all of my favorite characters??? I mean, as if Teri Bauer wasn't enough in Season 1, then they had to go kill off George Mason in Season 2 and Ryan Chapelle in Season 3.
Season 4 was somewhat devoid of the death of a favorite character. I think the closest they came in that season was killing Dina Araz. But of course, the 24 writing staff couldn't leave well enough alone. They decided that since they didn't tear our hearts out in Season 4 all that much, they'd start off Season 5 with a bang (literally).
In Season 5, we were forced to say goodbye to David Palmer (bang = gunshot from a sniper) and Michelle Dessler (bang = explosion) right away. But apparently, that wasn't enough. We later endured the most painful and upsetting death thus far in the series...Edgar Stiles. Unbelievable. Season 5 was definitely a tough one to get through.
I was hopeful for Season 6 because the whole "feel" of the show seemed to be a bit different. Shortly into the season, I was hoping they'd kill off Charles Logan only because I hated the character so much. Gregory Itzin made him so believable and so easy to hate. Good acting on his part by the way. But no - he's still alive. Who do they kill off first in Season 6? Curtis Manning! NO! NOT CURTIS! Jack's right-hand man was no longer...and frankly...i was upset.
24 REDEMPTION came next. No one of major substance was knocked off in that 2 hour special. WHEW!
So now it's time for Season 7. Redemption got my hopes up. Season 7 had its share of twists and turns...so much so that I'm STILL not 100% sure if Tony Almeida is a good guy or a bad guy. Right as I was getting caught up in trying to figure that out, THEY KILL BILL BUCHANAN!!! Well, actually Bill blew himself up in order to save President Taylor and her staff. But still...we had to say goodbye to Bill, a staple on the show since Season 4! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
So here we are in Season 8. The final season of 24. First, let me point out how upset I am that it's the final season. I hope they "Star Trek" the heck out of 24 and make several movies based off of it for years to come. I'd be perfectly happy with that.
I agree that this season started a little slow - but come on! You don't have to make up for that by killing President Hassan last week and Renee Walker this week!!!! Seriously? At this point, I truly fear for every character on that show! AAAARRRRRRGGH!!!!!!!
I don't know this show at all, but Reese is such a beauty!
